Kelvin Lin

​In my second year of high school, I discovered how fulfilling it is to give back to the community. Each time I took part in a school service event, I experienced a deep sense of joy. Wanting to share that feeling with others, I founded YouthRibbon, an initiative aimed at building a community of young people committed to creating positive change in our local communities. Through YouthRibbon, I hope to create a future of active citizenship and service.

For me, service is all about the little things. The true reward from service stems from the profound impact just a simple action can have on someone's life. Something as simple as making a person feel valued by having a chat with them can mean so much. Youthribbon provides an opportunity to meet like-minded people, who also believe in the value of service, creating a community that strives for bettering society, and my goal with Youthribbon is to help improve the lives of as many people as possible, whether by direct or indirect actions.

In my life, I’ve met and interacted with people from different backgrounds, cultures, religions; and despite all these differences, every single person deserves a chance to give back. My main mission and journey with YouthRibbon is to help those in need, and to help others give back to the community. With this, I truly hope to offer a better life to those who need the support of others and the kind charitable decisions of people, and I hope that within my mission, I can unite communities together through the power of donation and giving back to those who live underprivileged lives.
